Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how SnapPrint3D (“we”, “us”, or “the App”),
operated in connection with the Night Elf / SnapPrint3D product, collects, uses, stores,
and shares information when you use the iOS application SnapPrint3D.
SnapPrint3D turns a photo into a printable 3D model and lets you share (Handoff)
files such as STL to printer apps like Bambu Handy. The App does
not push print jobs directly to a printer (“Direct Print” is not part of the current product).
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information you provide
- Photos / Capture. Camera or photo library images you choose for generation.
- Account. If you Sign in with Apple, we receive an Apple-provided user identifier and, if you share it, an email address.
- Feedback. Text you submit in the in-app feedback form (message body is kept on device for local recording; we may receive an analytics event that feedback was submitted, without storing the full message on our servers in the current MVP).
- Support messages. Information you send when contacting us (see Support page).
1.2 Information from purchases
- Subscription and credit-pack purchases are processed by Apple via In-App Purchase. We do not receive your full payment card details. We maintain a local entitlement record (e.g. remaining AI generation allowance, credit balance, subscription status) tied to your signed-in account on the device.
1.3 Automatically collected / analytics (optional)
- If you accept analytics in the App, we may use Umeng (友盟) analytics to collect coarse usage events (for example app open, feature usage, handoff started), device/app version, and similar technical data to improve stability and product quality.
- Analytics is gated by privacy consent in production builds. You can review consent in Account → Privacy & analytics.
1.4 Permissions on iOS
- Camera — capture a photo for modeling.
- Photo Library — select an image; optionally save when you choose Save.
2. How We Use Information
- Generate lithophane meshes on device from your photo.
- Generate AI 3D meshes via a third-party provider when you choose the AI path (see below).
- Export / share STL (and related files) when you use Handoff or Save.
- Authenticate you, restore purchases, and enforce generation allowances.
- Operate, secure, and improve the App (including optional analytics).
- Comply with law and App Store requirements.
3. Photo Processing & Third Parties
3.1 Lithophane path (on-device)
For the lithophane path, modeling is performed on your device. We do not upload your photo to our own servers for that path in the current MVP.
3.2 AI Mesh path (our proxy + Meshy)
When you generate with AI Mesh, your selected image is first uploaded to
our AI Mesh proxy hosted on Railway
(ai-mesh-proxy-production.up.railway.app). That proxy authenticates you
(Sign in with Apple), applies daily rate limits, and forwards the image to a third-party
3D generation service (Meshy / Meshy.ai or its affiliates) to create a 3D mesh
and preview images. Meshy’s own terms and privacy practices also apply to that processing.
Do not use AI Mesh for photos you are not allowed to process with third parties.
On our Railway proxy we temporarily store the uploaded image, the resulting STL, and preview
images for the job. These job files are automatically deleted within 72 hours
(typically sooner after a scheduled cleanup). We do not use them for advertising or sell them.
3.3 Handoff / share sheet
When you share a model, iOS system share sheet may send the file to an app you choose (e.g. Bambu Handy, Files).
Those destinations are outside our control; their privacy policies apply.
3.4 Sign in with Apple & App Store
Authentication and payments are handled by Apple. See Apple’s privacy documentation for Sign in with Apple and App Store purchases.
3.5 Analytics provider
Optional analytics may be provided by Umeng. Data shared is limited to what is needed for product analytics as configured in the App.
4. Storage, Retention & Security
- Projects, captures, and exported files may be stored in the App’s local storage on your device until you delete them or remove the App.
- Entitlement / preference flags (including privacy consent and rating prompt state) are stored locally.
- For the AI Mesh path only: uploaded photos and generated artifacts are held on our Railway-hosted proxy and automatically purged within 72 hours (see §3.2).
- We use reasonable technical measures appropriate for a consumer mobile app. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
5. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share information only:
- With processors you trigger (our Railway-hosted AI Mesh proxy and Meshy for AI Mesh; apps you pick in the share sheet; Apple for sign-in and IAP; Umeng if you consent to analytics).
- If required by law, regulation, or valid legal process.
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to appropriate safeguards.
6. Children
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction).
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
7. Your Choices
- Deny or revoke camera / photo permissions in iOS Settings.
- Decline analytics consent (or avoid enabling Privacy & analytics).
- Sign out and delete local projects in the App.
- Manage or cancel subscriptions in Apple ID → Subscriptions.
- Uninstall the App to remove local data stored only on device.
Depending on your location (e.g. EEA/UK/California), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing.
Contact us to make a request. We may need to verify your identity and explain any legal limits.
8. International Processing
Our AI Mesh proxy is hosted on Railway (typically outside your country of residence).
Third-party services (Apple, Meshy, Umeng, Railway’s infrastructure) may also process data in other countries.
By using the App, you understand that your information may be transferred to jurisdictions with different data-protection laws.
9. Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and change the “Last updated” date.
Material changes may also be highlighted in the App or App Store release notes when appropriate.

3. 第三方处理
- 影雕路径：当前 MVP 在设备本地处理，不为此路径上传照片到我们自有服务器。
- AI Mesh：所选图片会先上传到我们托管在 Railway 上的 AI Mesh 代理服务，再由该服务转发至第三方 Meshy 生成模型与预览，适用 Meshy 的条款与隐私政策。代理上临时保存的上传图、STL 与预览图会在 72 小时内自动删除，不用于广告，也不出售。
- 分享：系统分享面板将文件交给您选择的应用（如 Bambu Handy），由对方负责后续处理。
- Apple：登录与内购由其处理。
- 友盟：仅在您同意分析后启用。
4. 存储与安全
项目与导出文件主要保存在本机应用沙盒；删除项目或卸载应用可移除本地数据。AI Mesh 路径下上传到 Railway 代理的文件另按上文 72 小时内自动清理。我们采取合理安全措施，但无法保证绝对安全。
5. 共享与出售
我们不出售您的个人信息。仅在您触发的处理方、法律要求或业务承继等必要情形下共享。
6. 儿童
本应用不以 13 岁以下（或您所在地更高法定年龄）儿童为目标用户，不会故意收集其个人信息。
7. 您的选择
可在系统设置中管理权限；拒绝分析同意；退出登录与删除本地项目；在 Apple ID 中管理订阅；卸载应用。
