Privacy Policy
Welcome to Work Happy (the “App”). We respect your privacy. This Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
1. Product overview
Work Happy is a local-first real-time paycheck timer. You do not need an account. Salary settings, overtime records, daily expenses, and related data are stored on your device by default. The current version does not upload this data to our cloud.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you provide
- Pay and schedule settings: monthly / daily / hourly pay, work hours, workweek pattern (stored locally only).
- Overtime and expense records: overtime sessions, daily expense categories and amounts (stored locally only).
- In-app purchases: buyout status is handled by the Apple App Store / Google Play; we only keep a local record of whether Pro is unlocked.
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Analytics (only after you grant analytics consent): We use the Umeng+ mobile analytics SDK for launches, screen views, and key feature usage. The SDK may collect device identifiers, OS and app version, network status, and anonymized page/event logs. We do not send salary amounts or expense line items to Umeng.
- Advertising identifiers (free users only): Google AdMob may use advertising identifiers (IDFA / GAID). You can limit tracking in system settings. After a one-time buyout, the App no longer requests or shows ads.
- Public holiday data: When “China public holiday calendar” is on, the App downloads public holiday schedules from a public CDN at most once every 7 days. Requests carry no salary or record data. jsDelivr may log IP addresses under its policy. Built-in data is used if download fails.
2.3 What we do not collect
- Precise location or contacts (unless you use system share features yourself)
- Payment card numbers, national ID, or other sensitive identity documents
3. How we use information
We use your salary and expense data only on your device to:
- Calculate and show live income, overtime earnings, and break-even time
- Sync home screen widgets (via App Group; data does not leave the device)
- Persist buyout, rewarded-unlock, and widget trial status
After you agree, analytics are used for product improvement. Ad SDKs show ads only to users who have not purchased.
4. Storage and security
- Pay and records are stored in a local database on your device.
- Uninstalling the App deletes local data (unless the system retains a backup).
- Please keep your device secure.
5. In-app purchases
- One-time buyout (about ¥3) unlocks overtime and break-even, permanent widget amounts, and removes ads forever.
- Without buyout, you may watch one rewarded ad to unlock overtime and break-even for the current calendar day.
- Payments are processed by Apple / Google; we do not collect payment card details.
- You can restore purchases via “Restore purchases.”
6. Third parties
- Umeng+ — analytics after consent (Umeng Privacy Policy)
- Google AdMob — ads for free users (Google Privacy Policy)
- jsDelivr — public holiday files (jsDelivr Privacy Policy)
- Apple App Store / Google Play — in-app purchases
7. Your choices
In Settings you can reset salary config, clear overtime/expense records, contact us via feedback, or deny tracking on iOS. After buyout the App does not load ads. If you declined analytics, we do not initialize Umeng.
8. Children’s privacy
The App is not directed at children under 14. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Policy updates
We may update this Policy and will change the date at the top. Material changes will be noted in the App.
