Qing Water Privacy Policy
Welcome to Qing Water (“the App”). This policy explains how we handle your information.
1. Overview
Qing Water is a local-first hydration tracker. The current version works without an account. Your drink logs, profile, reminder settings, and feedback text are stored on your device by default.
The free version may show app-open and banner ads served by Google AdMob. If an ad fails to load, the ad slot is hidden and core features remain available.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Drink logs: beverage type, volume, and time (stored locally).
- Profile: gender, weight, activity level, and climate preference for daily goal calculation (stored locally).
- Reminder settings: schedule toggles, times, and mute-at-night preferences (stored locally).
- Feedback: text you enter under Me → Feedback (stored on device only; not uploaded to our servers in the current version).
Automatically collected
- Ad requests: the free version requests and displays app-open and banner ads through Google AdMob. The ads SDK may use device identifiers, app information, ad interactions, coarse location, and similar data to serve ads, cap frequency, measure performance, and prevent fraud, subject to Google’s Privacy Policy and AdMob policies.
- Privacy choices: we may show privacy and ad preference options through Google UMP; if you decline personalized ads, non-personalized ads may still appear.
- Diagnostics: third-party crash analytics are not enabled by default in the current version.
We do not collect by default
- Contacts, photo library, or precise GPS trails
- Payment or government ID data
- Full drink-log content (not uploaded to our servers in the current version)
- Account credentials (the App has no account system)
3. How We Use Information
- Hydration logging, goal calculation, history charts, local reminders, and educational articles
- Ads after you accept applicable privacy choices
- Product improvement and bug fixes
4. Storage & Security
- Local: core data is stored on your device (e.g., SharedPreferences).
- Retention: uninstalling or clearing app data removes local information.
- Feedback: stays on device unless you contact us by email.
5. Third-Party Services
- System notifications: hydration reminders (with your permission)
- Google AdMob: app-open ads, banner ads, ad measurement, fraud prevention
We do not sell personal information.
6. Your Rights & Deletion
- Edit or delete drink records in-app
- Update profile, goals, and reminders under Me
- Manage notification and tracking permissions in iOS Settings
- Uninstall the App to remove all local data
